Content or features that are not yet accessible

  • Website has some inaccurate link texts. (WCAG 2.4.4)
  • Some alt-texts for pictures are not descriptive. (WCAG 1.1.1)
  • Website has a chat which uses colours to indicate the presence of customer service representatives. Same information is not available in written form. (WCAG 1.4.1)
  • Contrasts between some of the colours are too low. (WCAG 1.4.3)
  • There is no skip link to jump over blocks of content which are repeated on every page. There is no skip link to jump over difficult social media feeds. (WCAG 2.4.1)
  • Focus does not move logically in all of the pages. (WCAG 2.4.3)
  • Form fields do not have labels attached to them nor are required fields marked correctly for assistive technologies. Also, some forms can be sent even if they contain inaccurate information, such as wrongly written email address. (WCAG 3.3.1, WCAG 3.3.2)
  • Messages appear when some forms are sent or are attempted to be sent. These messages are not read to assistive technologies. (WCAG 4.1.3)
  • Not all page titles are descriptive. (WCAG 2.4.2)
  • There are areas on these pages where language is not marked correctly. (WCAG 3.1.2)
  • Website contains lists, which have unnecessary items (e.g. breadcrumb trail). Also, the hierarchy of headings is not always logical. (WCAG 1.3.1)
  • Website’s slideshow (carousel) has arrows in it (marked as links) which do not appear to do anything if the user uses an assistive technology to interpret the page. (WCAG 4.1.2)
  • The slideshow cannot be stopped or paused or hidden. (WCAG 2.2.2)

An effort will be made to correct the shortcomings listed in this statement during the next renewal of this website in 2021.

Accessibility requirements do not apply to certain content

The online service has links to videos published by Kansalaisneuvonta in Dreambroker. Dreambroker as a service is not fully accessible. Also, the videos are not fully accessible because their content is not described to users who use assistive technologies. Under the law, video content published prior to 23 September 2020 does not need to be made accessible retroactively.
